Marsotto Edizioni, 2011

Marsotto Edizioni is recognised as an extraordinary collection created by some of the world’s most eminent designers and architects, realised entirely in white Carrara marble.

Ten international designers, including James Irvine, Jasper Morrison, Konstantin Grcic, Thomas Sandell, Ross Lovegrove and Naoto Fuksawa, have worked with Marsotto to create a diverse selection of functional and enduring designs.

Marsotto is a highly respected, family-run stone company based near Verona, Italy. Under the creative guidance of James Irvine, they launched the first collection to the public in 2010. The second range of designs was seen as prototypes during the Milan Furniture Fair 2011.

“All the designers have pushed the use of marble into unexpected areas. Always useful yet at the same time sculptural. Faithful to the philosophy of making products totally in marble. A combination of high technology with the craftsmanship of the artisan.”
James Irvine

“Our dream is to use marble in everyday objects. At the same time, we wish to preserve all the experience and the ancient manual techniques of our craftsmen. Some of the most brilliant international designers have participated with great enthusiasm to create a timeless collection of products.”
Costanza and Mario Marsotto

Marsotto Edizioni provides a unique marriage between progressive stone-working technology and the rare experience and understanding of craftsmen.
