Begüm Cana Özgür
After obtaining her master's degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art in the United States, the Turkish designer Begüm Cana Özgür, established her own studio in Istanbul in 2014, where the local culture has been a significant inspiration in her work.
With a particular interest in traditional crafts, Cana takes a hands-on approach to her design process, starting with the initial concept and then experimenting with common materials and established techniques to gain a deeper understanding of their potential. This experimental approach allows Cana to develop and adapt skills, often resulting in new creation methods that give her work a truly authentic and unique form.
