Outdoor furniture – 5 designs to inspire

Our outdoor furniture collection embraces a wide range of design-led, classic and contemporary outdoor seating, garden tables, outdoor benches and loungers. We’ve selected 5 designs to inspire you.

1.UV resistant colour

The colourful Tip Ton chair by Barber & Osgerby is now available in a UV resistant version which is has been designed specifically for use outdoors. From a standard horizontal position, Tip Ton can be tilted a few degrees forward where it then stays in place. The forward-tilt sitting position straightens the back and improves circulation.

Tip Ton is extremely durable and stackable making it ideal as outdoor seating. Order by 31st July 2015 to receive a complimentary Jasper Morrison Rotary tray.

2.1966 classic

The 1966 collection is a range of outdoor furniture designed by Richard Schultz. Schultz has long been part of the Knoll story and is best known for his outdoor furniture designs. After moving to a seaside home in Florida, Florence Knoll asked her design team to create well-designed outdoor furniture that would withstand corrosive seaside air. The result was the 1966 collection which over the years has earned a special place in the world of outdoor furniture and is now regarded as a design classic.

3. Iconic outdoor table

The Tulip table by Eero Saarinen is regarded as an iconic design. Saarinen’s goal was to create a sculptural form and eliminate the ‘slum of legs’. The outdoor table has the same styling and timeless appeal as the indoor. The marble top of the indoor table is replaced by a white acrylic ‘stone’ which is hardwearing and resistant to the demands of being outside. The table features the original heavy moulded cast aluminium tulip base in white or black.

4. Sit and think

As its name suggests, the Thinking Man’s Chair is an outdoor lounge chair ideal for relaxation and reflection. The frame is made from tubular metal with slatted seat and back. The armrests feature flat sections for drinks. Available in green, grey, white and terracotta. The terracotta version has an interesting addition – written dimensions in white, as per the original prototype.

5. Store it

Exclusive to twentytwentyone, the Hook garden table by Eric Degenhardt for Richard Lampert is a metal side table which offers a multitude of uses. Its compact size means the table slots in anywhere it’s required. Perfect for patios and balconies. As the name suggests the key design feature of Hook is an integral metal loop from which to hang the folded table when not in use. Available in white, grey, yellow, pale green and blue.
