twentytwentyone Contracts has worked closely with architects Witherford Watson Mann on the refurbishment of several key public spaces within the Barbican Centre.
New contracts project: Barbican foyer, cocktail bar and Frobisher Rooms
The Contracts team specified and supplied a range of furniture and lighting for the ground floor foyer, the first floor Martini bar overlooking the foyer and lakeside terrace, and the Frobisher Rooms – a suite of meeting rooms and event spaces for conferences and business gatherings.
In keeping with the Barbican’s status as a landmark modernist building, the range of furniture and lighting selected includes iconic designs by Alvar Aalto, Hans Wegner and Robin Day, alongside contemporary classics by Jasper Morrison.
twentytwentyone is delighted to have played a role in the continuing development of one of London’s most significant cultural centres.
