42 Paimio armchair designed by Alvar Aalto for Artek in 1932 for the Paimio Sanatorium in Finland.
Alvar Aalto was one of the founders of Artek and he is recognised today as one of the great masters of modern architecture. Alvar Aalto began designing furnishings as a natural and important extension of his architectural thinking.
