Favn three-seat sofa by Jaime Hayon for Fritz Hansen.

Favn, which means embrace in Danish, is designed by Jaime Hayon for Fritz Hansen. The design gives a nod to the long tradition of Arne Jacobsen of using a form based on a shell, like the classic Egg and the Swan for the same producer.

The Favn sofa is inviting with its open and rounded curves, 'I wanted to create a form that embraces you, something really organic' says Jaime Hayon of the design.

The Favn sofa comes in a wide selection of fabrics, including a unique Designer Selection of thre colourways (each a mix of three fabrics: one fabric for the shell, a second for the seat and back cushions, and a third fabric for the small decorative cushions). The legs are made of brushed aluminium and comes with a set of large felt glides for soft wooden floors.
