PH Artichoke

PH Artichoke by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen.

Poul Henningsen created the PH Artichoke in 1952 for the Langelinie Pavilion restaurant in Copenhagen, where it remains a captivating sight today. The pendant's unique and organic shape is achieved by the placement of 72 meticulously arranged leaves that ensure an entirely glare-free light is emitted, regardless of the viewing angle.

The iconic design is still available in its original copper finish, which creates a warm, reflected light. It has since been joined by brushed and polished steel, brass, black, and white metal versions. These options highlight the pendant's adaptability and timeless silhouette.

To maintain the high quality of the PH Artichoke, it is partly hand-assembled.
