Stoneware Pitcher, 2016

Stoneware pitcher by Pat O'Leary.

Pat O'Leary's stoneware pitcher combines a sculptural form with function and may be used to serve drinks or hold flowers.

Pat O’Leary's deceptively simple pieces are made in London and finished with opaque gloss and semi-matt glazes. O'Leary is interested in simple contemporary forms with contrasting finishes. The contrast between glazed and raw clay finishes emphasises the clean lines and the shape and texture of each vessel.

Of her work, O'Leary says, "as I am making, I like to imagine how the piece will be used and how it will be held."
