Their research suggested using the pentagon as the geometric foundation for their design due to its ability to combine geometric integrity with a neutral presence. In essence, the pouf’s pentagonal shape allows it to be placed however one desires and still look well-positioned. This gives the owner greater freedom of use.

The base is made from wood and the upholstery shapes the polyurethane body with variable density.
