Pierre Charpin's new print is produced in an edition of 35, with each print numbered, stamped and embossed.
Like Charpin's Four Monkeys series of prints from 2016, this striking and minimal image dates to the designer's sojourn in Kyoto and is based on a series of drawings produced of the Kamo River.
Charpin notes: "The Kamo drawing expresses the horizontality of the Kamo River that flows through Kyoto. The water runs gently down stair-like slopes, creating a scene of calm and beauty."
This contemplative print may be purchased singly or as a triptych of prints which expand on the sense of movement and flow suggested by the individual print.
