PP550 Peacock chair, 1986
PP 550 Peacock Chair by Hans Wegner for PP Mobler.
Despite this easy chair's almost postmodern design, it was actually designed in 1947 and named the Peacock chair by Finn Juhl. Its modern lines are not only a matter of looks but also a feat of ergonomic aesthetics. The flat part of the sticks, which give it the peacock-like appearance, are placed where the shoulder blades meet the chair's back. The chair was inspired by the classic Windsor chair.
