The elegant C-Chair designed in 1947 is one of Gascoign's most well-known pieces. Originally designed to fit into the new sizes of homes built in the post-war years in France, the chair is now available as an outdoor chair.
The outdoor C-Chair is great for outdoor use in both ergonomics and materiality. Designed for maximum comfort, the chair frame is carefully crafted with traditional joinery using plantation teak. The original paper cord seat and backrest are updated with an outdoor all-weather resistant fibre made of extruded polyethylene. The new fibre is twisted to resemble natural hyacinth woven furniture.
Other indoor versions are available with an upholstered seat or fully upholstered.
