twentytwentyone's Rock exhibition set out to dismantle the preconceptions that accrue around the rocking chair, to identify modern variations of seating with movement, and to show the value of seats that rock.
The exhibits included classic twentieth century designs alongside more recently designed concepts for furniture that offered movement, such as Ineke Han's Happy Horse (above).
A one-off design by Ron Arad was displayed beside the rocking variant of his Tom chair (below).
David Trubridge's Body Raft (above) was featured alongside Verner Panton's Relaxer (below).
Also on display were Isamu Noguchi's Rocking stool (above) and Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglione's iconic Sella stool.
