Astier de Villatte, founded in 1996, is known globally for its white glazed handmade pottery inspired by 18th and 19th century design. The ceramics are made from black terracotta clay, using a special technique which leaves deliberate imperfections, rejecting mass-production.
The elegantly decorated ceramics are produced in the store’s Bastille workshop, which was once home to Napoleon’s silversmith. Astier de Villatte also produces its own range of fragranced products, including eau de parfums and candles.
The candles are made using vegetable wax, soy and plant extracts and are then blended with the unique Astier de Villatte fragrances. Thanks to their woven cotton wick, they burn flawlessly for around 50 − 60 hours.
The Saint-Honoré boutique in Paris opened in 2000, providing their customers with an enchanting experience of discovery.
