Davide Groppi

Davide Groppi was born in 1963. The lighting designer started his career in 1985, as a mechanical designer, only creating lamps from 1988, in his Piacenza workshop.

His striking modern designs were first exhibited at the Corso Venezia in Milan in 1994, when Maddalena De Padova, of the manufacturer De Padova, brought 40 pieces of the Baloo lamp for her stand at the Salone del Mobile. This first commission fueled his designs and production, going on to work for Paola Lenti, Christofle and Agatha Ruiz De La Prada.

His lights are simple, light and inventive, they pursue innovative technologies to create practical and functional lights.
