60 stool by Alvar Aalto for Artek.

The stackable 3-legged stool 60 created in 1933 by Alvar Aalto represents the quintessence of functionalist furniture design. The simple idea behind this now-classic stool is based on three bent legs and a round seat. The secret of the original Aalto stool's success lies in the unique bend to the legs that eventually became the distinctive feature of all Aalto furniture. The stool is also manufactured in a four-legged version.

Available with legs in natural lacquered birch and seat in the following finishes: natural birch veneer, white laminate, black linoleum, or lacquered in black, white, orange, yellow, or green.

Available with legs in walnut stained birch and seats in the following finishes: bright red lacquer or pewter linoleum.

The stools with seat lacquered in white and yellow are on a short lead time.

A fully lacquered version is available in the colours white and black.

Also available with an upholstered seat and with white lacquered legs and linoleum seats in various colours: please inquire for details.
