IC T1 low, 2014

IC T1 low by Michael Anastassiades for Flos. 

The IC T1 Low table light is part of the IC collection which includes table lights, wall lights, floor lights, ceiling pendant lights and ceiling mounted lights.

The inspiration behind this collection comes from an online video clip of a contact juggler. He was spinning a set of spheres, moving them around. Michael Anastassiades has captured the moment when the spinning balls look perfectly still at the edge of his fingers: the blown glass opal diffuser balances perfectly on the edge of a rod.

The name for the collection, IC, is a playful take on how English police defines the perceived ethnicity of a person they stop in the street when reporting back to the station. Here, IC 1, IC2 and IC3 are interpreted as different designs rather than ethnicities.

The lamps provide a diffused light and the frame is available in brushed brass with a transparent varnish, chrome steel or matt black.
