Trook cardholder by Geoffrey Fisher.
Geoffrey Fisher's work is the result of a profound connection with the Buckinghamshire woodlands that surround his studio in High Wycombe. Using traditional woodworking techniques, Fisher transforms twigs and branches obtained from nearby woods into a characterful, handcrafted collection of objects and accessories for the home that range from hooks and tabletop dustpan and brushes to whistles and skipping ropes. Rich in natural texture, each item is as pleasing to view and hold as it is functional.
All Trook products are made from unprepared wood that is wholly sustainable in origin, sourced from fallen trees or as a by-product of the coppicing process. The natural irregularities of the materials used and the meticulous handcrafting process combine to ensure that each individual Trook product is entirely unique.
The Trook cardholder is an ingenious way to display postcards, photographs, notes or pictures or display name cards as part of a table setting. A piece of wood is carved into a split peg to hold an image, secured with a knotted piece of rubber cord.
Please note that due to the handmade nature of this product and the natural materials used each Trook cardholder will vary slightly in form, shape and size.
