The classic CH29 dining chair, designed in 1952 by Hans Wegner, is also called ‘The Sawbuck Chair’ because of the shape of the chairs legs which resemble the sawbucks or saw horses traditionally used by carpenters and wood cutters. The CH29 offers great comfort as well as being a distinctive and sculptural piece of furniture.
The CH29 dining chair is made from solid wood available in beech (soaped, clear lacquered, oiled or black lacquered) or oak (soaped, clear lacquered, oiled, white oiled or black lacquered). Seat in flame retardant cold foam CMHR, upholstered in fabrics and leathers of the collection. Please see pdf's in 'Product downloads' of wood finishes and maintenance advice on how to care for the different types of wood, as well as a pdf showing the fabrics and leathers available.
