Seed balls are a great permaculture technique for growing seed in a more simple and effective way. Each 1cm seed ball contains a mini ecosystem, making them easy to scatter. For best results, scatter in the spring or autumn.
Each tin contains at least 20 seed balls. All seed is responsibly sourced in the UK from Flora Locale accredited suppliers, Project Maya only use peat-free compost.
Butterfly Mix - Using only wildflower species recommended by Butterfly Conservation, the butterfly mix includes both early and late summer flowering plants: Forget me not, Red champion, Yarrow, Purple loosestrife and Musk mallow.
Poppy - This mix contains the native red common poppy, a great pollinator.
Urban Meadow - This colourful combination of annuals and perennials was developed in collaboration with River of Flowers - an organisation working to create and connect urban meadows across the globe. Tin contains Common toadflax, Cornflower, Cowslip, Meadow cranesbill, Musk mallow, Oxeye daisy and Red campion.
Bee Mix- This mix contains recommended bee-friendly plants by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust - Birdsfoot trefoil, Foxglove, Red clover, Viper's bugloss and Wild marjoram.
Cornflower - This wildflower has a ruffled appearance and produces blue flowers. The flowers are also edible and can be used as a garnish or in tea. This flowers between the months of June and August. It is also a great bee pollinator.
Oxey Daisey - This perennial is an easy-to-grow flower with pure white petals and a golden yellow centre. This flowers between the months of May and September. It is also a great bee pollinator.
The reusable and recyclable steel tins are manufactured in London.
