Santa Lucia chair by Herbert Hirche for Richard Lampert.

Herbert Hirche designed the Santa Lucia chair in 1969 for Stuttgart's first Italian restaurant. The clean architectural lines of the chair clearly reveal Hirche's Bahaus training; he studied at the Bauhaus and later worked for Mies van der Rohe.

Fusing rustic rattan with a minimal steel frame, this lightweight, elegant and comfortable chair has proved so successful that it is still in use in the Santa Lucia restaurant to this day.

The Santa Lucia chair is ideally suited to domestic kitchen or dining tables as well as contract use in restaurants and cafes.

Available in tubular steel black and natural rattan, tubular steel white and synthetic fiber greybeige or tubular steel black with synthetic fiber blackbrown.
