Limited Edition 70 String Pocket by Mats Theselius for String.

To celebrate their 70th anniversary, String are launching a limited edition String Pocket designed by Mats Theselius. The celebratory edition features three Optiwhite glass shelves supported by a powder-coated stainless steel frame, the finish mirroring the colour of the glass.

The exclusive edition will only be produced in an edition of 2019, with a number engraved on one of the shelves.

Theselius has previous designed two limited editions for String, of this 70th anniversary edition he has said:

"I wanted to explore how well the design of the String shelf stands the test of time. With shelves of glass, the anniversary model recedes and takes on an almost intangible form. You are presented by the wall panels and the faintly blue-green edges that form lines to visualise the demarcation of the shelves."

String Pocket is a highly flexible and light shelving system consisting of a set of three shelves that can be placed anywhere along two wall mounted metal panels.

This simple and economical, light shelving with its minimal structure has become one of the twentieth century’s foremost design icons, receiving many design accolades over its 70 years of existence.

The shelves are easy to assemble. Each shelf can be quickly relocated.

String Pocket is part of the String System, a robust and versatile shelving system offering different shelves depths, which can be combined and enriched with separate filing or display cabinets, magazine racks, table, drawers, desk, etc. modules.

String Pocket includes 2 panels, 3 shelves
