Channel Wrack print by Superfolk.
Superfolk's range of products are inspired by outdoor living and the natural world and are crafted using the finest natural materials and time-honoured techniques.
The Channel Wrack art print is part of a collection of botanical prints inspired by seaweed foraging in the crisp cold waters of the Atlantic and hand-printed by Superfolk founder, artist and printmaker Jo Anne Butler.
Also known as Channelled Wrack, this print depicts a species of seaweed commonly found on the beaches of Northern Europe where it grows around the high water mark on sheltered and rocky shores.
Butler's trademark rich use of colour and bold graphic form lend a modern edge to traditional botanical illustration, resulting in a print that will delight beachcombers, naturalists and design enthusiasts alike.
Ideally suited to hanging with THABTO's elegantly simple magnetic plywood frame.
Each block print is hand cut and hand printed onto a long fibered handmade Japanese washi paper from Awagami Factory in Tokushima, Japan, where they have been making washi papers for eight generations.
Materials: Water based inks on a 50gr handmade Japanese washi paper with deckled edge.
Please note due to the handcrafted nature of this print, the ink colour and tone may vary slightly from the images above.
