Eames DAX armchair by Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra.

Plastic Armchairs were first presented as part of a New York Museum of Modern Art competition, “Low Cost Furniture Design”. Their organically shaped plastic seat shells were later combined with various different bases and manufactured in their millions. In their latest version made of polypropylene, the armchairs now offer even greater sitting comfort.

Four legged tubular steel base, chromed or powder-coated in basic dark or white. Seat in polypropylene available in a range of colours.

Optional seat or front upholstery in Hopsak fabric (pdf of colours available to download in Product downloads). Front upholstered chairs offer black or white piping.

Basic dark glides for hard floor or carpet. White glides also available, please enquire for details.

DAX = Dining Height Armchair X-Base

Please note new height for 2015 - raising seat by 2cm.
