Kho Liang Ie was one of the most renowned influencers and main collaborator of Artifort.
Kho Liang Ie, originally from Indonesia moved to the Netherlands around 1949, to focus on interior design training and designing at the Rietveld Academy. After his studies, he became the aesthetic consultant and designer at Artifort. His influence in vision, broad knowledge and international contacts allowed Artifort to grow internationally and turn into a successful brand.
Together Artifort and Kho Liang Ie have created outstanding designs and turned Arifort into a world-class design brand. Also, his distinctive designs encouraged international designers Pierre Paulin and Geoffrey D. Harcourt to work with Artifort.
His design and work reflecting purity, warmth and freedom continues to influence the industry today.
