Italian designer and architect, TobiaScarpa is known for his unique design style that blends progressive technology, ergonomic capabilities, and social history.
Scarpa studied architecture at the Università Iuav di Venezia, and after graduating, began working with Afra Scarpa, his wife.
Scarpa has designed for B&B Italia, Flos, Benetton clothing, and Fabbian among others. Throughout his career, he has been awarded significant honours, including the Compasso d'Oro Award in 1969 and The International Forum Design Hanover Award in 1992.
Tobia Scarpa's work can be found in cultural institutions around the world, most notably in The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
