Hafod Grange

Welsh company Hafod Grange uses a special technique to seal carefully dried flowers and botanical specimens within crystal clear polyester resin globes containing a UV filter. Each paperweight is unique and makes a striking ornament.

The original paperweights were produced by Barry Needham, after a friend challenged him to capture an entire dandelion clock without damaging it in any way. He embraced the challenge and after numerous attempts  patient experimentation Barry Needham perfected a technique for preserving plants and flowers in this way. His designs are now produced by his brother, Alan, who continued his brother's work on a commercial basis after his death.

Hafod Grange Ltd was awarded the Prince of Wales Shield in 1975.
