The Tolix Model A chair has become an icon of outdoor furniture. It is as popular today as when first designed in 1934. Crafted of sheet steel, this classic chair is solid, light and easy to maintain.
Designed by Xavier Pauchard, an early pioneer of galvanisation in France. In 1927 he registered the trademark Tolix, when he began the production of chairs, stools and metal furniture.
Available in the following finishes: painted (gloss, matt), Les Couleurs Le Corbusier and raw steel.
Chairs in raw steel finish will have visible solder joints. Painted gloss is a high shine and reflective finish. Matt painted finish gives the chair an understated appearance. Whilst matt fine-textured paint improves UV resistance.
Les Couleurs Le Corbusier are a selection from the 'Architectural Polychromy of Le Corbusier'. Le Corbusier created two sensational colour collections - in 1931 and 1959. Based on nature, all colours are naturally harmonious. Each colour can be impressively combined with each other.
Please note: This version is suitable for indoor use only. An outdoor version is also available made from stainless steel. The chair is also stackable for easy storage.
