The classic modernist armchair was designed Marcel Breuer during his wartime exile in England, while living at the Lawn Road building in Hampstead.
The design was created in 1936 for the Ventris family, with only two armchairs and one sofa produced for their apartment in the Tecton-designed Highpoint building in Highgate.
The chair's armrest incoporates a shelf which doubles as a display case for objects or simply as a handy place to put your drink or book while seated.
Isokon Plus has now reissued the design to its original specification, upholstered in fabrics by Eleanor Pritchard.
A range of Eleanor Pritchard fabric options are available: please enquire for details.
