Constructed from fine pinewood strips aligned vertically, Screen 100 rolls up for storage and unfurls into straight or curved forms. The screen divides rooms, sections of areas, and structures spaces without blocking views. Lightweight and well-proportioned, it moves easily and adds natural warmth to any room through the natural pine material. Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1936, Artek's Screen 100 exemplifies the Finnish master’s skill in fusing traditional materials with organic shapes.
In 2025, to mark Artek's 90th anniversary, the 100cm, 130cm, and 180cm screen heights return to the existing 150cm height, catering to the varying needs of modern interiors. Together, the four sizes create a sculptural silhouette that evokes Finland’s natural landscape of forested hills and waterways.
