Light Crescent Cotton Pouch

Light Crescent Cotton Pouch by Beatrice Larkin.

Born from Beatrice Larkin's desire to introduce a curve design to her collection, the Crescent pattern draws inspiration from Mid-Century designs. Larkin composed an elaborate drawing of this recurring motif, which was then transformed into a fabric. The marks, resembling stitches, are meticulously woven with a herringbone technique.

Crafted with sustainability in mind in Lancashire, the fabric utilised in this process is made from pre-dyed fabric scraps rejected by the clothing industry. These scraps undergo a transformative journey, being re-spun into new cones. This innovative approach gives a new purpose to discarded garments and eliminates the need for a separate dyeing phase.
