Designed in 1956 by Vilhelm Lauritzen in Copenhagen, the Vega chair is a modern masterpiece. Formerly only found in Vega, the historic concert hall in Copenhagen, the chair is now available for purchase thanks to Carl Hansen and Son's partnership with Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects.
Featuring Vilhelm Lauritzen’s signature aesthetic, the chair is effortlessly simple yet functional. Stackable up to 8 chairs, the chair is also well-proportioned for comfort with its curved back embracing the sitter. Crafted excellently in wood and steel, the chair is available with optional upholstery on the seat and the back to elevate the comfort level. The chair also comes with elegant wooden feet for an artisanal feel.

Materials
The steel frame with black powder coated or chrome legs supports the veneer seat. The feet is made of solid wood. This blend of materials, combined with a minimalist design, results in a light, organic, industrial expression. And the stackable design offers a valuable benefit.
Available with veneer oak seat and back finished with lacquer, oil, white oil, or black paint. When painted, oak has a clearly visible wood structure
The seat cushion is made from CMHR flame retardant cold foam available upholstered in a variety of Carl Hansen fabrics or leathers. See downloadable specification sheet for details of the relevant fabric collections.
Please note that the following colours for Molly are not available for upholstery: 0110, 0160, 0170, 0190.
