CH78 'Mama Bear' lounge chair by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen + Son.
The CH78 Lounge chair was first designed in 1954 by Danish designer and architect Hans J. Wegner as an extension of the CH71 chair. A lesson in form and function, the chair fulfils Wegner's minimalist ideals while maximising comfort.
Part of the 'Mama Bear series', a collection defined by fine craftsmanship and sculptural qualities. The elegant lounge chair features inviting curves, an upholstered frame and round tapered legs in solid wood. The simplistic silhouette is suited any interior décor, whether that is traditional or modern, private or commercial.

Materials
The frame is available in oak with a soaped, clear lacquered, oiled, white oiled finish, or black lacquered finish. Also available in walnut with a lacquered or oiled finish.
This range can be upholstered in a variety of Carl Hansen fabrics or leathers.
