Skynest Motion by Marcel Wanders for Flos.
An innovative light with a silhouette redolent of a kinetic mobile, Marcel Wanders Skynest Motion is unique in that it is connected to both the floor and the ceiling.
The dome, suspended by a gently arched tube, is constructed from a network of tubular mesh made from recycled polyester, with each luminous element powered by a special micro-connector connected to the top. To ensure optimal light emission from the LED modules, these are always white when facing the inside of the dome.
The light emanated neither comes from a bulb nor an LED board but rather from the fabric, which has LED strips incorporated in the textiles structure.
Skynest Motion is constructed without any glue so that all parts can be detached and recycled at the end of their life.
