Compact Armchair by Barber Osgerby for Knoll.
The Sofa Collection includes armchair, two-seater, three-seater and four-seater, asymmetric and L-shape sofas, ottomans and stools.
Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby presented this project, their first for Knoll, at the Salone del Mobile 2013, as Knoll celebrated their 75th anniversary.
Each piece of this extensive range contrasts and balances the soft (curves) with the architectural (stitched seams). As Barber Osgerby put it: “Given a sofa's scale and prominence in a room, we felt the pieces should be formally balanced and calm, expressing their character through details.”

Materials
Each piece sits on distinctive cast aluminium feet that slide between its upholstered elements, connecting them together.
Legs have adjustable nylon glide Inner frame is 7/8" plywood
Seat, back and arms feature various foam densities for enhanced comfort. Elastic webbing seat suspension with foam-supported sit through feature at the cushion breaks.
Pinched topstitched seaming GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified®
Cast aluminium legs in a chrome finish or lacquered in red or black. More powder coated available on request, please enquire.
Please note: When upholstered in Eva fabric collection, there will be a lead time of 12-14 weeks.
