The Kumazasa plant is a species of Japanese bamboo which has been prized for centuries for its beneficial antibacterial properties. Kamuzasa leaves were traditionally used to wrap food, especially sushi, to preserve it and prevent it from spoiling. They were also used to make a variety of natural remedies to fight infection and promote healing.
Today, the Sasawashi company spins Kumazasa fibres into thread which can be woven into a variety of textiles that are light, lint-free and capable of absorbing twice as much moisture as cotton. They also have natural anti-bacterial and exfoliating qualities.
Sasawashi room boots combine these natural benefits with a distinctively Japanese simplicity of form. These boots feature a very thick cushion sole for added warmth, with stitching to add character.

Medium: 22 to 25cm Large: 25cm to 27cm
Materials
Please note that these boots have a wide fit.
The outer fabric is made from a mixture of wool (67%), polyester (28%), nylon (3%) and acrlyic (2%).
The lining is made from 100% sasawashi fabric.
The lining and sole is made of 100% polyester.
Hand wash in cold water. Wash with similar colors. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry.
Machine washable (with net). Wash with mild detergent, do not use bleach and do not use a tumble dryer. Keep separate from other coloured items.
