Mario Marenco born in 1933, studied architecture in Naples, during this period he gained a range of awards for search at Stockholm and Chicago universities. After studying, Marenco formed the DEWG studio in Rome, specialising in community buildings.
In the 1970s, Marenco became an established designer, working for a range of firms including Arflex, Artemide and Bernini. One of his most recognised designs in the 1970's was the Marenco armchair and sofa collection for Arflex, which were released as a new version in 2018 by Arflex. In 1982, he worked on commercial designs creating display standing for Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo, followed by producing watches for Fiat and Ferrari, in 85'.
