Wabisabi Rug
Wabisabi Rug by Nani Marquina for Nanimarquina.
The Nanimarquina Wabisabi collection is inspired by traditional Japanese arts, including Hagi pottery, Ikebana, Japanese tea ceremonies, and poetry, such as haiku. These art forms all focus on appreciating beauty in different ways.
The rug is aptly named after the Japanese philosophy that celebrates impermanence and beauty in natural and raw forms. When translated, "wabi" means "less is more," and "sabi" means "attentive melancholy."
